Instructor

Pietro Aronica is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Bioinformatics Institute of A*STAR, in Singapore. He works on peptide and protein engineering, studying mutagenesis through computational tools and simulations. His main expertise is on running calculations and analyses of protein systems and using that to rationalise observations and predict experimental work. He is also interested in data science and the application of tools such as machine learning to peptide engineering. He obtained his PhD from Imperial College London in 2016 and has been working in Singapore ever since. Apart from research work, he also dabbles in science communication and science teaching.
